OCG Story

Founded in 2018, Oceanic Consulting Group (OCG) is a specialist risk advisory firm supporting Australia’s financial services sector through its most complex regulatory and operational challenges. From wealth licensees and platforms to brokers, super funds, banks and insurers, we help organisations strengthen compliance, uplift resilience and deliver better client outcomes, building confidence with boards, customers and regulators.

With over 50 seasoned professionals, our teams operate out of Sydney, Melbourne, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai, combining local insight with global perspective. Over the past decade, we have supported the industry through large-scale remediation in financial planning and stockbroking, embedding defensible documentation, clear accountability and robust controls across advice and conduct programmes.

OCG translates evolving expectations from APRA and ASIC into practical operating models, evidence packs and governance that stand up to scrutiny. We help institutions prepare for CPS 230 operational resilience by mapping critical operations, strengthening third-party oversight, and conducting scenario testing, as well as aligning information security and risk management requirements across the enterprise. We also uplift AML/CTF programmes to AUSTRAC standards, from enterprise risk assessments and CDD/EDD to reporting quality, sanctions workflows and model validation.

Our services span regulatory change and transformation, File Review as a Service (FRaS) for advice quality and assurance, third-party and outsourcing oversight, business continuity, data and analytics enablement, and technology-supported controls. We partner closely with clients to balance risk and commercial objectives, reduce exposure, accelerate execution and improve assurance.
